Questions.....

We undoubtedly can relate, in form or another, to the face of a child when we ask them to do a fairly mundane task - clean your room, take out the garbage, put your toys away, etc.
They are boring tasks, and endeavors that are tedious and deemed to be "unnecessary" in their perception of reality.
As adults in the corporate realm, we far too often re-create the perception of tedium when confronted with basic tasks that need to be done on a daily basis - document a daily/weekly schedule, write down specific notes from a critical meeting, respond to e-mails in a timely manner, return all calls as they are required, etc.
The only difference between the child we know and ourselves is we get paid a great deal more as being part of the corporate continuum....the principles are the same.
If we ignore the fundamental tasks by considering them as "drudgery", we are diminishing our chances of greatness with a child-like mindset of attitudinal disregard.
Critique yourself and your attention to the "mundane" details of your everyday work demands.
