Matters of the Leader's "Environment"

Leaders must be able to fully understand the "environment" in which they are functioning.

The essence of that statement is that the environment in which one leads is almost always in state of flux. It is never really the same from one day to the next - and that is ok, as long as the leader(s) are able to recognize the shifts....be they subtle or significant.

Planning for achievement is a vital exercise.

Planning for shifting the plans you have made is often equally as vital.
