A Question of Conquering

We may appreciate what we have done to overcome the challenges that we face in our attempts to be a Champion.

We may be proud of sustaining the efforts needed for a Champion to be realized....and maintained.

But maybe the greatest feeling we will ever feel - even if it is but a fleeting one - is that moment of clarity when we come to understand that when the medal is placed around our neck or the trophy is raised high above our heads, we have CONQUERED.

Not in the sense of vanquishing our opponents - but rather in our silencing the demons that persist and nag us into a perception of ourselves as incapable and incompetent.

Achievement is never by luck, nor is it "written in the stars"....it is because YOU found the will to make yourself the victor.
